  Wartime Zolynia, April 1943
(right) German barricades in the market square. This photograph was taken eight months after the village was cleared of Jews. The small, low building on the right is the synagogue. The taller building behind it is the large shul or study house, never completed (these buildings are featured in the inset to the right).
